"So, You Want To Make a Documentary" is a workshop-style presentation
designed to familiarize the participants with conceptualizing and
translating an idea into a documentary project from concept development up
to the first day of inception. Specifically, the presentation is divided
into five major components:
A. The Idea
B. Writing and presenting a proposal
C. Funding
D. Planning a production
E. Distribution and Exhibition
"So, You Want To Make a Documentary" ist ein Seminar im Stile eines
Workshops und macht die TeilnehmerInnen mit dem Entwerfen und Umsetzen einer
Idee in ein Dokumentarfilmprojekt vertraut, von der Entwicklung eines
Konzepts bis zum Beginn der Dreharbeiten. Die Präsentation gliedert sich
insbesondere in fünf Hauptkomponenten:
A. Die Idee
B. Verfassen und Präsentation eines Konzepts
C. Finanzierung
D. Planung einer Produktion
E. Distribution und Veröffentlichung

Experimental Stop-motion Trick
With this technique one can almost set everything in motion (and if
something is too large, you just move the camera...).
During this presentation techniques and stop-motion animations from
different times are demonstrated. Towards the end, there shall be time for a
small experiment with available tools.
Experimenteller Stopmotion-Trick
Mit dieser Technik kann man fast alles in Bewegung setzen (und sollte etwas
zu groß sein, bewegt sich eben die Kamera…).
In diesem Vortrag werden Techniken und Stopmotion-Animationen aus
unterschiedlichen Zeiten vorgestellt. Zum Schluss soll Zeit bleiben für
einen kleinen Eigenversuch mit Bordmitteln.
