A woman in Nepal is married and then sold to India. The film is based on true experiences and fictitiously describes the life of Chameli living as a prostitute in an Indian brothel, where she becomes infected with AIDS. When years later she manages to escape, she is not welcomed in her village anymore - she is dishonored and begins to take revenge.

Eine Frau in Nepal wird verheiratet und dann nach Indien verkauft. Der Film basiert auf realen Erfahrungen und zeigt fiktiv Chamelis Leben als Prostituierte in einem indischen Bordell, in dem sie an AIDS erkrankt. Als ihr nach Jahren die Flucht gelingt, wird sie in ihrem Dorf nicht mehr aufgenommen - sie ist ehrlos und beginnt Rache zu nehmen.
