"Birth of a Race" was produced as a response to the 1915 film "Birth of a Nation", and was meant to discredit the negative stereotypes perpetuated by the film. "Birth of a Race" was released following the end of World War I.

"Birth of a Race" wurde als Antwort auf den Film "Birth of a Nation" aus dem Jahr 1915 produziert. Er war als Diskreditierung des negativen Stereotyps gedacht, der durch jenen Film weiter verbreitet wurde. "Birth of a Race" wurde nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs veröffentlicht.
