"Chinese Ghost Story" is a poetic essay in which history and landscape converge to explore the construction of the 1869 Transcontinental Railroad where 1,300 Chinese laborers lost their lives. Gold, the Oregon Trail, ghost settlements, dioramas, and historical enactors are implicated in the vistas and in those empty panoramas where history is written in the soil.

"Chinese Ghost Story" ist ein poetisches Essay, in dem Geschichte und Landschaft aufeinander treffen, um die Konstruktion der Transkontinentalen Eisenbahn aus dem Jahr 1869 zu erkunden, bei deren Bau 1.300 chinesische Arbeiter ihr Leben verloren. Gold, die Oregon-Strecke, Geisterstädte, Dioramen und Nachstellungen geschichtlicher Ereignisse werden ins Sichtfeld gerückt und in jene leeren Panoramen, wo die Geschichte in den Boden geschrieben ist.
